NeoCov Coronavirus variant:1 in 3 who gets infected by it might die?
NeoCov has been a hot topic in recent days as it is said to be the deadliest one to be found as it may kill 1 in 3 people who get infected by it.
It has been two years that we are battling the pandemic and the mutation of the COVID virus has been a burning topic as the delta variant proved to be the deadliest. While the omicron proved to be the fastest transmitting variant of the virus and has been named as the variant of concern by WHO.
Now a new problem has arrived as the scientist from china’s Wuhan city has warned about the new deadliest NeoCov coronavirus variant.
What is NeoCov?
While it has only been found in bats in South Africa, a new unpeered study claims that NeoCov could infect humans.
According to an unpeered study published as a preprint on the bioRxiv websites, says NeoCov is close relative PDF-2180-CoV which can infect humans at a high rate and may have a high date rate.
According to scientists and researchers from the Chinese Academy of science says, only one mutation is required for the Newly deadly virus to infiltrate the human cells.
It is also stated that people who get infected with the NEoCov will neither have protein molecules nor antibodies get developed.
What’s the current status of NeoCoV infection?
Do we need to worry about it?
At the moment there are no solid evidence and information. Similarly, in-depth research and report are needed for it to be a variant of concern for the people.
The variant has only been found in the bat and has not been reported in Human Being so, this also makes it less worrisome.
But that doesn’t mean it should be ignored but the information and reports from WHO are yet to come out. So, people are seeking out what will the WHO will say about it and how to deal with it and make it less dangerous to humans.
Takeaway:
Coronavirus has not been eliminated and it is still prevalent so, do follow the protocols wear masks, and use masks to go outside. Foremost do say yes to the vaccine as it is the only weapon we have to fight against the COVID pandemic.
This new variant has not been known completely but the ongoing Omicorn virus is not to be taken lightly as we have seen many people lose their loved ones due to different variants of the coronavirus.
